Backbend Foundations with Ida
We'll kick off with a quick dive into the theory of spinal movements, to prepare for what’s to come. After a full-body warm-up, we’ll jump into powerful exercises designed to strengthen your back and open up your front body to get into cobra pose.

What to expect
During this 2h backbend workshop you will learn about the principles of backbends while practicing a variety of drills and movements to improve your backbend practice. We will go through assessment exercises to help you identify areas to work on to develop your backbends, whether you are a beginner that want to understand how to make your spine feel great, or a seasoned backbender wanting to achieve all those foot-to-head poses.
The workshop will start with a brief theoretical background on spinal movements, followed by a thorough warm-up before diving in to different exercises to strengthen your back and stretch your front body. Main focus will be on developing and using the cobra to find an active engagement throughout the whole spine.
*The workshop is for all levels and can be adapted to your abilities.
